I’m not great with crowds. Or loud spaces. Or unexpected noise. For years, I thought I just needed to toughen up. But I realized: sometimes the world is too loud. And it’s okay to need a quiet place.

Ablack obsidian stone lives in my pocket now. It’s small, smooth, and heavy for its size. When I feel my shoulders creeping up, I reach for it. I don’t think about energy or shields. I just feel its weight.
It’s not a barrier. It’s a reminder that I have boundaries, and I’m allowed to use them. That I can choose when to engage and when to step back.
If the world feels too loud today, maybe you need a small thing to hold too. Not to block out the noise. Just to remind you that you’re still here, and you’re allowed to protect your peace.
Black obsidian is often used as a protective stone, helping people feel grounded and shielded from negative energies or overwhelming environments
